Corrective Exercise and Total Body Composition Change

Corrective Exercise and Total Body Composition Change

August 18, 2022

Hi from Pamela Young Fitness! I believe fitness connects to the mind, just as much as the body. It is not just about looking good, it is also about feeling good. I believe your workout time, is that special time for you. I know a lot of people who do not like working out. If you find something that you are passionate about, it will become easier.

I became a corrective exercise specialist in 2021. It changed my life and many of my client’s life. Posture is fundamental to all movements. If you have bad posture in any area, your Health and organs will be affected. This is why I like to focus on the five-point fitness. Core, balance, flexibility, strength, and endurance. The weaker muscles need to be addressed for absolute strength. Myofascial release and stretching are also huge parts of your fitness journey. And they need to be methodically executed for good results. Unfortunately, some of the classes that I see, primarily work on the anterior chain. The posterior chain needs to be addressed, if not more than the anterior chain. This is where the corrective exercise comes into play. When I started the corrective exercise on myself, my whole life and body changed. I have seen huge breakthroughs in my personal training of clients, with the corrective exercise. I have people who were in severe pain, that are almost completely pain-free. I am more excited than ever about helping clients get their lives back.

Exercise order has a huge impact, on your total body composition change. If we have a personal training client, who does heavy legs on Monday, I would prefer that the client does not go running 10 miles the next day. For your muscles to grow, you need some recovery. It would be better for the personal training client, to do some cardio directly after weight training. Your heart rate is already elevated, so you are going to burn more calories as a direct result.

Core, balance, flexibility, strength, and endurance, are key in any personal training program. It will prevent injury, and help you get to that total body composition change. I love to hear my Client say, wow this seems to be getting harder. Usually, this is because they are getting stronger. Strength is the firing rate of your muscles, which means quicker muscle recruitment and more muscles firing simultaneously. When you add the corrective exercise in, that is when the total body composition change occurs. Your great posture will change your results tenfold. You will have the proper body mechanics, to do the exercises properly. I have been a full-time personal trainer for around 17 years. I own a beautiful, awesome studio that is very clean and upscale. I just purchased $12,000 with brand new equipment this year. Pamela Young Fitness is an awesome place to call home.

Pamela Young Fitness loves your results ❤️
